Objective
To document and creatively support the collaboration between K-Swiss and musician/entrepreneur YG for an exclusive sneaker release at Foot Locker.
The goal was to highlight the cultural significance of the partnership and its roots in Compton heritage through compelling storytelling and brand-aligned visuals.

Creative Process
1. Concept Development: I developed a storytelling approach that emphasized authenticity, cultural relevance, and the deep personal connection between YG and K-Swiss. The narrative centered around the reinterpretation of a classic silhouette with modern streetwear influence, showcasing how heritage and innovation intersect.
2. Pre-Production: Collaborated with brand and creative teams to align on the aesthetic direction and campaign messaging. This included planning visuals that celebrated both K-Swiss’s legacy and YG’s cultural influence, as well as coordinating with stylists, photographers, and production staff.
3. Production: Oversaw the creative execution during the campaign shoot, ensuring the visual tone resonated with both K-Swiss’s brand identity and YG’s personal style. We captured content that reflected Compton’s impact on streetwear culture while spotlighting the co-designed sneaker.
4. Post-Production & Editing: Led the editing process to weave together a cohesive visual story, incorporating key interview moments, cinematic b-roll, and product close-ups. Applied stylized motion graphics and color grading to match the campaign’s visual tone and elevate the final output.
5. Finalization & Delivery: Delivered campaign assets optimized for social, retail, and press channels. Ensured the final visuals maintained brand consistency and honored the cultural weight of the collaboration.
Results
The campaign generated significant buzz around the K-Swiss x YG collaboration, receiving coverage from outlets such as ESSENCE and praise from fans for its authenticity and cultural relevance. The drop strengthened brand affinity among younger, style-conscious audiences and reinforced K-Swiss’s presence in the modern streetwear landscape.
Conclusion
